![]() ![]() ![]() I'm certainly hoping that DenoiseAI and SharpenAI don't disappear any time soon!Īs long there has been software there has been glitches/bugs. And, finally, my "go to" DX0 PureRaw 2 started to produce corrupted images (mainly black with odd bits of colour) around the time PureRaw3 came out. Fixed XMP sidecar files applying to non-RAW outputs. Fixed issues that caused the login prompt to activate every launch due to settings desync. I don't have much success with the new Lightroom denoise either. Changes since 1.3.4: Fixed Face Recovery no longer recovering all faces in certain situations. I still find it a complete lottery! I'm using PhotoAI less, the more complicated it's become and mainly use DenoiseAI. Otherwise I use High Pass Sharpening in Photoshop which does an excellent job and never produces artifacts. I still use Sharpen AI for subject movement. I still use Gigapixel too when I want a quick resize. I still use Denoise for the odd photo that PhotoAI doesn't deal with very well, though I will say latest version of PhotoAI is quite good, much better than it used to be. So.tell me that they really abandoned Gigapixel, Sharpen, Denoise for good Anthony Morganti did a video on this new version: I have that camera body and it is VERY Capable for low light applications.Ĭonstructive feedback is Always Appreciated. Some nice changes. If you wish to just use 1/60th sec., then use a tripod and make sure your pup is very still. ![]() If any noise shows up Topaz Photo AI will be able to handle it. Your FF Canon 5DIV with that "L" Glass can handle these settings. Reshoot the pic at F:5.6 or higher and at more than 1/60th second and let the ISO soar while set at "Auto". Since you are shooting a FF Canon 5DIV I seriously doubt that the camera or the Canon EF 70-200 F:2.8 contributed to this depth of field issue. Shutter Speed could also be a factor - Your pup was surely breathing, while appearing to be still.ģ. Your pic was shot at F:2.8 (wide open) for a shallow depth of field.Ģ. Now for My Opinion as to why you are receiving less than the sharpness you desire, and in order of importance.ġ. Those areas exceed the desired depth of field. Yellow arrows are areas closer to the camera lens than the eyes and show little or no improvement. The Black Arrow at the nape of the neck highlights the improvement to the couch pillow behind your pretty pup. I didn't use Canon Digital Pro to see just where the camera focused but it appears that the focus was at the same distance as the eyes were from the lens.īlack arrows are areas of expected improvement. I downloaded your "Original SOOC" file and ran the file through Topaz Photo AI using the default settings with no other (pre-post) adjustments. Yes, when viewed side by side and boosted to 150% in PhotoScape X (Free) the diffies are obvious. As I mentioned in my post, I tried both auto mode as well as manually adjusting the slider. The program I am using is Topaz Photo AI. Topaz Photo AI is very capable, even in "Full Auto Mode", which is very handy when dumping a day of shooting into the hopper. My short answer is no, I have not noticed problems. Topaz Photo AI is very capable, even in "Full Auto Mode", which is very handy when dumping a day of shooting into the hopper. When this happens, I just mask the target area, and make slider adjustments until I receive my desired results. PS: In some (rare) instances, Topaz Products will not obtain acceptable (to me) results when left in full auto mode. I'm not being critical, we just need some specifics to make a meaningful reply. Most Topaz Products have the means to adjust most variables. Which Topaz program(s) are you referring to?Īlso, file size, format, etc. My short answer is no, I have not noticed problems when I "sharpen photos of animals, (specifically long-haired dogs). Have others noticed this? Is there a setting I’m missing? I have tried the auto setting for sharpening, as well as moving the slider in small increments. I have noticed, however, that when I try to sharpen photos of animals, (specifically long haired dogs), that the program does not seem to work. Topaz Photo AI v1.1.5 - Smarter blur detection and RAW noise estimation models, apply the same settings to multiple images, and lots of performance improvements Topaz Photo AI v1.1.5 introduces numerous model enhancements delivering more accurate image quality improvements and lots of important bug fixes. I have been using Topaz for some time now, with generally good results. ![]()
